<p>PURPOSE:To assemble a cathode base, cup, and sleeve simply and fixed by forming the cathode base, or porous sintered body, in a truncated cone, fitting it forcedly into a bottomed cylindrical cup, and fitting it forcedly into a bottomed cylindrical sleeve. CONSTITUTION:First a cathode base 1 is fitted by pressure coaxially in a Mo cup 2 by the use of a jig. This widens the bottom of cup to a certain degree. This assembled cup is fitted by pressure into a top hole of a Mo sleeve 3 until the flange of the cup reaches the peripheral surface of the sleeve hole. Now assembly is completed. In the cathode structure thus assembled, the cup is secured to the sleeve with a force generated by the hole periphery fastening the lower side-face of the cup flange, and the cathode base is fixed fast to the cup with its section assuming a trapezoid.</p> |
