PURPOSE:To continuously and variably set the shrinking factor in the case of graphic data reading with a simple operation, by arbitrarily, continuously and freely variably setting the reading data sampling interval with a circuit which outputs a pulse every time a reader is moved for a prescribed distance which is set variably and arbitrarily. CONSTITUTION:A reader 1 is provided with a transfer pulse generator 2, and every time the reader 1 is moved by a prescribed distance DELTAD preset toward the prescribed direction, a transfer pulse P is outputted from the generator 2. The pulse p is applied to a period detecting circuit 3, where the pulse is converted into an analog voltage corresponding to the period. In the period detecting circuit 3, the pulse P is differentiated at a differentiation circuit 4 to form a pulse with minute width of a leading and trailing and only the pulse of the leading edge of the pulse P is shaped at a rectifying circuit 5 at the next stage. An output pulse of the circuit 5 is sequentially applied to delay circuits 6 and 7 in series connection. |
