PURPOSE:To enhance signal quality under use conditions of a specified rotating speed by providing the writable recording region of the optical disk in the outer peripheral part thereof. CONSTITUTION:The writable recording region 1 of the optical disk 100 which has the read-only recording region 2 and the writable recording region 1 and is used at a specified rotating speed is provided in the outer peripheral part. Since the recording density is low, the optical disk has a sufficient resolving power and, therefore, the generation of an error does not arise even if, for example, an environmental temp. falls upon changing of recording conditions and even if the medium sensitivity is thereby lowered and the smaller recording bits are formed. The error is suppressed to a lower level by executing the transfer of the read-only recording region by using a precisely cut stamper. The recording information errors are decreased by disposing the writable recording region in the outer peripheral part and the read-only recording region in the inner peripheral part. The use of this optical disk as the high-quality optical disk is thus possible. |
