PURPOSE:To enable series connection of unit cells according to roll-to-roll system by helically winding a band-shaped solar cell on an insulating film, which is wound on the surface of a cylindrical body, so that edge parts thereof overlap each other and interposing a conductive resin between overlapping parts, and then cutting open and peeling off it. CONSTITUTION:An insulating film 2 is wound on a cylindrical body 1. A resin adhesive 3 is applied on the surface of this insulating film beforehand. On the other hand, a p-i-n structure is formed by laminating a p layer, an i layer, and an n layer, each consisting of an a-Si film, on a conductive flexible substrate 41, and a band-shaped solar cell 4, on which a surface transparent electrode 43 is formed, is fabricated thereon, and this is supplied from a roll 40 and helically wound on the insulating film 2 with predetermined overlapping parts being formed. Prior to this winding, conductive paste 6 is linearly printed on the edge part of a transparent electrode by being passed through printing rolls 5. One edge of the transparent electrode of the solar cell overlaps the other edge of the conductive substrate of the next wound stage via this part, so that the transparent electrode and the conductive substrate is connected with each other. Finally, when such a wound member, including the insulating film 2, is cut and peeled off from the cylindrical body, a rectangular thin film solar battery can be obtained and the band-shaped solar cells 4 of respective stages are connected in series. |
