METHOD FOR CULTURING CELL WITH ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE PATTERN

PURPOSE:To enable realization of a neurocomputer by carrying out cell culture in an electric charge pattern suitable for the objective cell by using an electric charge holding medium capable of freely setting the electric charge pattern with a specific construction. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive substance 104 having a photoconductive layer (104c) formed through an electrically conductive layer (104b) on a support (104a) is initially placed opposite to an electric charge holding medium 105 having an insulating layer (105a) formed through an electrically conductive layer (105b) on a support (105c). Exposure to an image is then carried out from the side of the photosensitive substance 104 while applying a voltage across the electrically conductive layers (104b) and (105b) of the photosensitive substance 104 and the medium 105 to accumulate electric charges in the form of the image on the surface of the medium 105. Cell culture is simultaneously carried out on the medium 105 having the electrostatic charge pattern formed thereon.
