PURPOSE:To shorten the waiting time of a user and to improve the availability of the peripheral devices by storing the identification name of the data set in the peripheral devices into a peripheral device state memory of a CPU and referring to this memory to confirm the data preparation state and to change the starting order of jobs via a job scheduler. CONSTITUTION:The information on the data set in the peripheral devices 1 is stored in a peripheral device state memory 3, and the jobs applied by a user are registered into a job scheduler in the order of application. The job scheduler searches the memory 3 to check whether the necessary data are set or not in the order of applied jobs. Then the scheduler starts execution of jobs in the order of arrangement of their data. Thus it is possible to shorten the waiting time of the user due to the preparatory time of the devices 1.
