CONSTITUTION:The transfer-electrifier 2 is provided with the two discharging wires 2a and 2b: The range of a discharging area generated on the surface of an image carrier 1 by the wire 2a is (b)-(d), and the range of the discharging area generated by the wire 2b is (a)-(c). When thin paper P2 is selected as a printing instruction, the contact point 5a of a switching unit 5 is closed, a bias is impressed on the wire 2a, and the discharging area (b)-(d) is validated. When thick paper P1 is selected, a contact point 5b is closed, a bias voltage is impressed on the wire 2b, and the discharging area (a)-(c) is validated. Transferring is carried out in each area. Thus, always preferable transferring can be carried out regardless of the rigidity and nerve, etc., of the transfer material P. |
