To connect number plates, and trade advertising plates, rapidly to the front and rear of a vehicle, a resilient strap for each number plate is used. At one end of each strap is a fixed hook and at the other end is an adjustable hook. The hooks are used to form connections with the edges of the mudguards, or wheel arches, of the vehicle body.
