The device for automatically locking a mobile barrier 1 makes it possible to lock the movement, relative to each other, of two telescopic tube sections 6, 7 which constitute the support means 5 of the said barrier 1. The device comprises a bolt 24, 25, subjected to the thrust of an elastic means 23, which moves through a guide orifice 26, 27, and penetrates into a groove 28, 29. A locking means makes it possible to withdraw the bolt and thus free the barrier for opening. <IMAGE>
