PURPOSE:To prevent filaments from inner curing between respective ones and also from lowering strength by carrying out the bonding agent treatment by means of high-tenacity nylon fiber used as a cord for tire reinforcing, acting SiO2 coming into the cord together with the bonding agent and providing friction and sliding between respective filaments. CONSTITUTION:When a cord of organic fiber having the raw yarn strength of 6.5g/d or more is treated, particularly with a bonding agent containing SiO2, friction and sliding between respective filaments are improved by the action of SiO2 coming into the cord to prevent strength loss. Particularly, in case a reinforcing cord constituted of organic fiber having 8.0g/d or more raw yarn strength is used, the strength is increased compared with the cord before being treated. |
