PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substrate having excellent ultraviolet-shielding effect and useful as a printed circuit board by applying a bisdi(lower alkyl) aminobenzophenone to the surface of glass fiber constituting a glass fiber sheet. CONSTITUTION:A glass fiber sheet such as woven or knit glass fiber fabric is treated with a silane-coupling agent, immersed in an acetone solution of a bisdi(lower alkyl)aminobenzophenone and dried to obtain a glass fiber sub strate having excellent ultraviolet-shielding effect. A printed circuit board pro duced by laminating a plurality of prepreg sheets obtained by impregnating the above substrate with an epoxy resin varnish meets the requirements of the reduction in size and thickness, exhibits sufficiently high ultraviolet-shielding property and enables to produce a printed circuit board useful for a thin VLSI in high efficiency. |
