PURPOSE: To efficiently store products by monitoring and adjusting the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in a container space and supplying a gas contg. nitrogen and carbon dioxide to a container space by a compact and simple means. CONSTITUTION: The products are arranged in the hermetically sealable container 5 and the inside of the container 5 is hermetically sealed from the outdoor air. The oxygen level in the container 5 is monitored by a monitor 30. At the time of a need, the gas contg. the much nitrogen is generated from the ambient air by a compressor 37 and an air separator 35 and the gas contg. the much nitrogen is introduced into the container 5 until the predetermined oxygen level is set or reset. The carbon dioxide level in the container 5 is monitored by a monitor 31. If the carbon dioxide level is lower than the predetermined level, the carbon dioxide generated from the dry ice stored in a box 40 in order to be interlocked to the container 5 is introduced into the container 5 to attain the predetermined carbon dioxide level in the container 5.
