PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive and lightweight floor mat having a very beautiful appearance and easy in installation by the method wherein a rail body and a connecting portion are integrally made. CONSTITUTION: This floor mat is provided with the body portion 12 of the floor mat and an integrally-made coupling portion 14, and each rail is coupled with an adjacent rail through the ball socket of the coupling portion 14. The flange portion 20 of forming a socket 22 having a C-shaped cross section as the whole is provided at the side edge portion located in the one end of the body portion 12 of the rail. A connector forming portion 24 mounted on the coupling portion 14 has a ball-shaped cross section as the whole, and is made to be inserted into the socket 22 of an adjacent rail 10. The lower end portions 34 of three ribs, i.e., legs 36 of supporting the rail 10 on a floor are made of a soft, compressible and thermo plastic polymer material, and provides a cushion effect and non-slip characteristics. |
