PURPOSE: To weld a work piece without bending and twisting it by moving a common cam head having a cam track for respective levers by a common driving cylinder. CONSTITUTION: When a driving cylinder 40 is operated, a pincer member 30 is turned by a cam track 44 and reaches the end position, a female die 14 is allowed to abut to the bottom surface of a sheet metallic piece 10 facing the female die 14 or forms the flush surface. Simultaneously, a punch 16 is approached to a bracket 12. When a cam head 42 is further moved, the pincer member 30 having the female die 14 is stopped since respective parts of the cam track 44 extend parallel to the reference surface. While, since the cam track 46 continuous to move the pincer member 32, the punch 16 is made to reach the specified position, and the sheet metallic piece 10 and the bracket 12 are joined to each other by team work of the punch 16 and the female die 14. |
