PURPOSE:To provide a solid mold release agent used for preventing fusion of a billet such as aluminum to die ring or container of an extruder, a dummy block at the tip of an extrusion head, etc., by containing a waxy substance and a lubricating powder having a specific particle size. CONSTITUTION:The objective solid mold release agent contains (A) a waxy substance preferably such as a fatty acid amide, hardening oil, metal soap or PE wax and (B) 15-70wt.% (preferably 20-50wt.%) of a lubricating powder such as graphite powder, carbon black, talc, mica powder, boron nitride, titanium oxide, calcium carbonate or magnesium oxide having a particle size of <=43mum (preferably average particle size, <=15mum). |
