PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and reduce the cost of the captioned buffer for a car by floatingly holding a pressure side damping valve, corresponding to a relief valve, between a suspension spring and a position detection spring without using a relief spring. CONSTITUTION:A spool 30 forming a pressure side damping valve 9' is screwed to a bolt 18 through a collar 37. Further, the outer periphery of a spool 30 is put in sliding contact with the internal periphery of a seat part 36 at the squeezed end of a valve holder 12, and normally, the exit part 33 of a notched groove 31 formed on the spool 30 is positioned above the seat part 36 to secure a sectional area of a flow passage. The spool 30 is borne by means of an inner tube 1 through a spring bearing part 19' formed in the upper part, and floatingly held between a suspension spring 6 and a position detection spring 7. Thus, a clearance delta of the pressure side damping valve 9' is gradually reduced according to the difference in load between two springs 6, 7, and a passage resistance to working oil is increased, generated damping force being raised. |
