PURPOSE:To remove the ink adhered to the front surface of a driving roller and the rear surface of a film and to prevent an idle rotation of said film by providing a roller for supplying a liquid ink to the front surface of said film with holes and a cleaner at the front surface of said driving roller or the rear surface of said film for removing the ink. CONSTITUTION:A feed roller 5 and an ink removing cleaner 6 are provided in this thermal ink-jet recording apparatus. The ink feed roller 5 supplies a liquid ink 1 to a film 3 with holes. The ink removing cleaner 6 is provided at the front surface of a driving roller 4 and the rear face of the film 3. The ink feed roller 5 is dipped in the ink 1 and accordingly the ink 1 is adhered to the front surface of the roller 6. The excessive ink is scraped off by a blade 7a to be a predetermined amount. When the ink feed roller 5 is brought in touch with the film 3 wound around the driving roller 4, the ink 1 is supplied to the surface of the film 3. The amount of the ink is made uniform by a blade 7b on the roller 4. The ink is held by a through-hole 8. Although the ink 1 is adhered to the front surface of the driving roller 4 and the rear face of the film 3, the adhered ink 1 is absorbed and removed by the felt ink removing cleaner 6 on the driving roller 4 and the rear face of the film 3. |
