A magnetic recording tape is mfd. by coating a base film with a magnetic paint dissolved with a dispersant, a binder and a hardener. The magnetic paint comprises 20-50 wt.% binder fo soft polyurethance resin having 10-100 kg/cm2 hardness and hard polyurethane resin having 100-300 kg/cm2 hardness, 6-15 wt.% hardener of diisocyanate, and dispersant of myristic acid, stearic acid or lecithin. The tape has a good durability and scratchresistancy.
