PURPOSE:To reduce the floor space of an external device group except the main body of a sterilizing device and to the cost of equipment by a method wherein a charging device and a stepwise piling device are mounted to a charge conveyor in correlation to each other, and a transfer conveyor is provided with a composite function to transfer a tray and discharge a substance to be processed from the tray. CONSTITUTION:A first charging device 31 charges a substance 43 to be processed to odd number-th empty tray 26 fed to the starting end of a transfer conveyor 30 and charges a subsequent substance to be processed to an even number-th tray and is moved toward a stepwise piling device 32. In which case, the trays are piled in 2 stages, and a carrying-in device 33 pushes the trays in a carrier 17. The trays pass through a sterilizing device body and are conveyed to a stage dividing device 72 by a carrying-out conveyor 70, and the trays in two stages are aligned in one stage. The tray placed on a transfer conveyor 80 discharges a substance to be processed processing of which is completed, and the tray is conveyed to the starting of the carrying-in conveyor. In this case, each of the carrying-in, carrying-out, and transfer conveyors 30, 70, and 80 has a drive part so that it is intermittently run synchronously at 1/2 a period of an intermittent running effected by a chain wheel 18a of a chain conveyor 11 of a sterilizing device body 1. |
