<p>PURPOSE:To detect a small target readily even if large targets and small targets are present in close proximity by using an orthogonal sequence as a sequence used for the code modulation of a transmitting signal, and suppressing the generation of the range side lobes of demodulated signals as much as possible. CONSTITUTION:In an orthogonal sequence generator 11, the component of the output signal generated in an M-sequence generator 24 inputs the M sequence of 0.1 into a substituting means (component substituting device 25). In the substituting means, A0e<jphi0> is made to substitute with A0 as a positive real number when the component in the M sequence is 0, and A1e<kphi0> is made to substitute with A1 as a positive real number. A trigonometric function fi(phi1 - phi2) having a phase of phi1 - phi2 becomes the ratio between two functions f2(A1/A0) and f3(A1/A0) of an amplitude ratio A1/A0, wherein the linear expression of a period N in an M sequence as shown in the expression in the figure is a coefficient. The orthogonal sequence is generated in this way. Thus, the generation of the range side lobes of the demodulated signal is suppressed as much as possible, and a small target can be detected readily.</p> |
