<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the strength of joint and consequently make it possible to form a retainer excellent in durability by a method wherein synthetic resin material is poured through two gates, which are located at positions corresponding to two adjacent columns with a pocket between. CONSTITUTION:On one end face of a cylindrical main body 11, odd-numbered pockets 2, in each of which the rolling element of a rolling bearing is retained, are arranged along the circumferential direction of a retainer 1. Further a thick-walled column 3 is interposed between pockets 2 adjacent to each other. Through two gates 5, which are located at positions corresponding to two adjacent columns 3 with one pocket 2 between, synthetic resin is poured in the cavity 7 of a mold 4 in order to form the retainer 1.</p> |
