PURPOSE:To enable fast processing by adding vertex connection information to vertex data and performing clipping processing according to the vertex connection information. CONSTITUTION:The vertex connection information consisting of a common polygonal number 16-1 (2-bit information using 1st and 2nd bits) indicating the number of polygons sharing a vertex and a final vertex flag 16-2 (1-bit information using a 3rd bit) indicating whether or not a vertex is the final vertex of a polygon is added to the vertex data 10. A clip processing means 100 performs clip processing according to the vertex connection information without dividing a triangular strip into individual triangles. Consequently, the fast processing is performed without increasing the amount of data on the triangular strip. |
