The system for driving anchors (9) into the ground by gas pressure comprises, on a support (43) intended to be kept stationary in relation to said ground, a system (3, 12, 16, 18) for the ignition and combustion of a pyrotechnic composition (17) and for the launching of an anchor (9). It also comprises an acoustic gas-expansion protector (5), the acoustic gas-expansion protector (5) being mounted slidably on a recoil ramp (27, 33), thus ensuring a balancing of the amount of movement transmitted to the anchor (9).
