The control section uses the bus-bar for connecting the output and input elements. The control microprocessor, by means of the corresponding current position switch (21, 22,...2n), excites the common bus-bar, which addresses the corresponding display unit (1, 2,...n) and display element (130, 230,...n30), as well as the group of switching elements (151, 152,...15m),...to...(n51, n52,...n5m) and at the outputs (512, 522,...5m2) of the logic level regenerators (51, 52, ...5m) reads information on the status of these switch elements (151,152,...15m),...to...(n51, n52,... n5m). At the same time, by means of segment current switches (30, 31,...37), it excites the corresponding combinations of segments, by which the corresponding information is displayed at the selected display unit (1, 2,...n) and the corresponding display element (130, 230,...n30) can be switched on. The number (n) of display units (1, 2, ...n) can fluctuate between one and two or three tens of positions. The number (m) of switching elements (151, 152,...15m),...to...(n51, n52,...n5m) can likewise fluctuate between one and two or three tens of groups.<IMAGE>
