<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of the thin section of an intersection between the first and second groove sections when an air bag is deployed by forming an acute cleavage guide projection on the side wall between the first groove sections and the second groove section in a cover main body formed with a plane H-shaped cleavage groove. CONSTITUTION:A cleavage groove M is provided on the inner face of a cover main body 1 in an air bag module cover structure. This cleavage groove M is formed into a plane H-shape with a pair of the first groove sections 2 and 2 with a V-shaped cross section provided on the inner face of the cover main body 1 and the second groove section 3 with a V-shaped cross section connecting center sections of the first groove sections 2 and 2. In this case, an acute cleavage guide projection 4 protruded toward the second groove section 3 is formed on the side wall 2a of the intersection A between the first groove sections 2 and 2 and the second groove section 3. When the cover main body is cleaved along the first and the second groove sections 2 and 3 if the air bag is expanded, the thin section of the cover main body 1 is cleaved along the cleavage guide projection 4 at the intersection A, and the occurrence of small rupture pieces at the intersection A is prevented.</p> |
