PURPOSE:To enable a phenol resin gear with excellent abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and durability to be obtained by infiltrating phenol resin blended with epoxy resin to a metha-aromatic polyamide fiber fabric, and making a heat and press-molded molding in a tooth constituting member. CONSTITUTION:A continuous length fabric of polymethaphenyleneisophthalicamide fiber is infiltrated, and then dried, with phenol resin blended with epoxy resin, and the fabric is cut into predetermined dimensions. Two cut pieces 2 in a parallelogram are put on a hot plate and heated, and then they are wound into a rod shape around the axis of the long side thereof, and still rounded off and the rod-shaped both ends are overlapped each other so as to be formed into a ring body. Next, the two overlapped ring- shaped bodies 3, a molding material 4 to form a web and boss and a metallic bush 5 are charged into a mold, and subjected to heat-press molding, following this, the part constituted by molded ring-shaped bodies are tooth-worked into the middle part thereof, thereby forming a toothed gear. |
