摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the forming time and at the same time improve the physical properties of a formed product by a method wherein synthetic fibrid is made of thermoplastic high-molecular polymer and paralleled so as to preform and finally compression-formed at high temperature and under high pressure. CONSTITUTION:Polyamide, polyester, polyacrylonitrile or the like is employed as the thermoplastic polymer to form synthetic fibrid. Raw material is, at first, preformed in plate, sheet or other proper form so as to compression-form it with molds having curved surfaces in order to obtain formed product with the curved surfaces corresponding to the forms of the molds. After that, the formed product is compression-formed at high temperature and under high pressure to obtain formed product. The resultant formed product is machined, when necessary. Thus, even the polymer, which is hard to form, can be easily turned into a desired formed product by once turning it to fibrid and successively preforming it.
