PURPOSE: To couple and uncouple mechanical parts while restraining an influence exerted on the copying characteristic of a machine to the minimum by providing a timing belt with teeth suitable to mesh with driving and driven pulleys on its outer surface. CONSTITUTION: By winding most of the outer surface of a driving gear 75 by means of the timing belt 71, the gear 75 is positioned, and the teeth of the gear 75 are meshed with the teeth of the belt 71 so as to drive the belt. Furthermore, the gear 13 of a cartridge 12 including photoconductive material 15 is driven and the meshing error of the gear conducted to the photoconductive material 15 is kept to the minimum, whereby the quality of an image printed by the copying machine 10 is made high. In order to take out the cartridge, an idler 73 is rocked downward by using a usual link mechanism 76. Thus, the requirement of driving motion sensitive to the moving error of a light receiving body is satisfied and the driven pulley is easily taken out from a copying machine/printer with the smallest irregularities in the image.
