A display apparatus for an elevator having a display unit which is disposed in a cage or hall of the elecator, the apparatus comprising display control means for displaying a message to be reported to users, in a designated display aspect on the display unit and display aspect correction means connected to the display control means for designating the display, wherein the display aspect correction means comprses simulation means for simulatively displaying a predetermined message in an aspect corresponding to the designated display aspect.
