<p>PURPOSE:To start an engine by turning force of a drive wheel by constituting a device using a continuously variable transmission, provided with an electromagnetic clutch, controlling it being based on information of a select lever position, engine speed and a car speed. CONSTITUTION:Turning force of an engine 1 is interrupted by an electromagnetic clutch 2 and transmitted through a reduction gear 3, continuously variable transmission mechanism part 4 and a differential gear part 6 to a drive wheel 7 of a vehicle made possible to run. The electromagnetic clutch 2, by a control unit 10 controlling a vehicle transmission, trarnsmits torque by allowing an electric current to flow in a coil 2a in the inside of the clutch. The constitution is such that the electromagnetic clutch 2 is conducted by an arbitrary rate of conduction by the control unit 10 when a select lever is placed in a forward running position with the engine 1 in stopping further when a car speed satisfies a condition holding not less than a preset value. Thus by the drive wheel 7 rotating the engine 1, it can be started without using a starter.</p> |
