PURPOSE:To enhance the coupling efficiency of light with the outside as well as to improve the reliability in structure and to solve the problems in production by forming a slope on the end face of a light guide. CONSTITUTION:Since the end face 6 of the light guide 4 is formed on the slope, the guided light in the light guide 4 is eventually reflected as exit light to a rear surface side 18 of a substrate and the incident light from the rear surface side 18 as guided light to the inside of the light guide 4. An optical fiber 8 or the like is, therefore, previously adhered by an optical adhesive agent via a rod lens 12 to the rear surface side 18 of the substrate, by which the exit light from the optical fiber 8 is reflected in the inside direction of the light guide 4 at the end face 6 and can be introduced as the guided light to the inside of the light guide 4. In addition, the guided light from the inside of the light guide 4 can be reflected as the exit light in direction of the rear surface side 18 at the end face 6. The coupling efficiency of the light with the light is enhanced in this way and the reliability in the structure is enhanced and the problems in the production are solved. |
