PURPOSE:To provided a power transmission and distribution facility monitoring system which utilizes a pyroelectric infrared-ray sensor having strong points such as low cost, small size, high sensitivity, etc. CONSTITUTION:This is a power transmission and distribution facility monitoring system equipped with a pyroelectric infrared-ray detector, which is provided in the shape of a plurality of arrays, being directed toward power transmission and distribution facility 220, a chopping means, which intermittently interrupts the infrared rays incident on the detector, and a signal processing means 250, which recognizes the abnormal condition being obtained from the temperature of the power transmission and distribution facilities 220, based on the detection signal from the detector 210. |
