PURPOSE:To prevent dazzling light from being generated due to a step differenced part formed between reflecting regions of a reflecting surface, in a headlamp for a vehicle having light distribution control mechanism of constituting the reflecting surface of a plurality of the reflecting regiorns. CONSTITUTION:A headlamp for a vehicle is provided to comprise a reflector 4 of dividing a reflecting surface 7 into a plurality of segments 7a, 7a,..., front surface lens 3 arranged so as to cover the front of this reflector 7, low beam filament 10 positioned a little in the front from almost a focus position of the reflecting surface and a cup-shaped shade 6 for covering the front and the front part sideward of this low beam filament. This shade 6 is supported to the reflector by a supporting piece 14, to also protrusively provide shade pieces 15a, 15b, 15c from a rear surface opening edge of the shade, and these shade pieces are positioned between parts 11c, 11e, 11f, which are stepped parts 11, 11,... extended in a horizontal direction formed between the segments of the reflecting surface to easily generate dazzling light, and the low beam filament. |
