The floor/ceiling package for prefabricated structures comprises a series of spaced and parallel transverse joints and a planar panel spanning one side of the joists and acting as a floor or ceiling surface. The package includes two halves, detachably secured together along a common junction line to form a floor or ceiling unit. Each half has a joist at the common junction line for selectively securing the halves together, the halves being nestable one within the other to form the package when separated. One of the halves is reversed vertically through 180 deg. relative to the other half and placed so that the joists of one half are nested within the corresponding joists of the other half. The planar panels form upper and lowr enclosure surfaces of the package.
