Application devices for applying straws, spoons or other objects to disposable-type packing containers are known. Usually the objects are transferred one at a time to the one side of the packing container, to which they are affixed by sealing using hot-melt methods or the like. At the moment of transfer and sealing, the packing container in question has to stand still relative to the applicator. According to the invention, this is achieved with the aid of a stop lug 7 which can be moved to and fro and which, in its active position, extends into the motional path of the advanced packing containers 3 and ensures that the packing container in question stops in correct position directly in front of the applicator 1. The conveyor 4 has a smooth top side and the packing container 3 is therefore able to slide against the conveyor, which continues moving continuously. This construction eliminates the reduction in capacity which ensues if the conveyor belt has to move intermittently and is also considerably simpler than the known construction in which the applicator can be moved to and fro in time with the passing packing containers. <IMAGE> |
