Method for transforming a copolymer comprising patterns derived from ethylene and patterns derived from an unsaturated acid ester by reaction with at least one polyol. The copolymer having a fluidity index from 0.2 to 12 dg/min is subjected to a transesterification-cross-linking reaction at a temperature from 150 to 250 DEG C and under a pressure between 1 and 100 bars, the molar ratio between the hydroxyl functions of the polyol and the ester functions of the copolymer being at the most equal to 1. Application to the fabrication of industrial articles.
