PURPOSE: To easily and accurately decide the reliability of radio equipment by recording the total amounts of the turned-on time of the radio equipment and its transmitter after they are manufactured by using a radio equipment 'ON' timer and a transmitter 'ON' timer. CONSTITUTION: External test equipment 140 can read out the values of a radio equipment 'ON' timer and a transmitter 'ON' timer stored in a nonvolatile, electrically erasable, and programmable memory(EEPROM) 112 through a bus 113. Since the values of the timers respectively indicate the total tuned-on time of a cellular telephone set 110 which is radio equipment when the telephone set 110 is actually used at the job site and the total tuned-on time of the transmitter 160 of the telephone set 100, the values of the timers accurately decide the total used time of the telephone set 100 and transmitter 160 at the job site. Therefore, the actual reliability of the cellular telephone can be decided accurately at the job site without performing any large-scale expensive field test. |
