PURPOSE: To control speed of a hydraulic elevator based on car position information without requiring a vertical belt or other position indicating device in an elevator shaft by providing a monitoring control means which responds to the speed and position to control a motor and an adjustable valve for providing desired actuation of an elevator car. CONSTITUTION: A flow meter 48 indicates a measured flow rate of hydraulic fluid 36 flowing between a hydraulic device 46 and a hydraulic jack 16. This measured value is in the form of a pulse line Q at a ratio responding to a flow ratio. A controller 32 comprises a monitoring regulation 58 to apply a voltage to vertical direction solenoid valves 50 and 52 at a correct timing, a counter-like means 60 to supply signal responding to integration of Q, a means 62 to form a speed pattern of a desired elevator car, a frequency converter 64 to convert the pulse line Q into a value or a voltage indicating actual flow, and a comparator 66 to actuate an actuation valve 54 to follow a specified elevator car speed and a speed change ratio. |
