PURPOSE:To eliminate the needs for preparing various devices at the time of a test, to shorten a test time, to eliminate test space, to make the test efficient and to save manpower by executing simulation by means of a designated diagnostic program in a state that various devices are connected. CONSTITUTION:The simulation switch 17 of a test device 8 designates a device mode for test, and a control part 15 decodes a mode signal from the switch 17, decides a specified device which conducts the test, whereby the device starts an action. Then, the diagnostic program which is specified the prescribed device is started by a computer 1 and an SCSI controller 3 and various diagnoses are executed. Here, a series of SCSI protocols using an SCSI bus are executed among general-purpose LSI in protocol controllers 11 and 12. A timing generator 16 takes various timing of the action and the test device 8 executes a command phase. The control part 15 is started and a DMA controller 13 and a buffer memory 14 start transferring data. |
