<p>PURPOSE:To reduce noise generated from a dot printer by a method wherein each of pairs of transfer rollers respectively at receiving and discharging sides is brought into contact with each other in the allover width orthogonally to the direction of the sheet transfer, each one of the pairs of transfer rollers is covered with a sound-absorbing material. CONSTITUTION:Sound absorbing materials 9, 10 are applied on casings 1a, 1b in the direction of transferring an original (d), each pair of transfer rollers 3, 4 and 5, 6 is arranged close to the absorbing materials 9, 10. The outside of each one of the rollers 3, 4 and the rollers 5, 6 is covered with a cylindrical spongy absorbing materials 3a, 5a, since the other rollers 4, 6 are on the printing sides, the middle parts 4a, 6a are made of a material wherein a stain will not adhere and can be wipe off, and a surface treatment is carried out thereon, both ends 4b and 6b thereof are parts with which transfer rollers 3, 5 come into contact for driving, and are covered with rubber layers. Transfer rollers 3, 4 and 5, 6 are made into continuous cylinders to be brought into contact with each other overall in the width direction. Noise which may comes outside from rollers through sheet insertion ports 7a, 7b is greatly reduced, and the original (d) is smoothly transferred.</p> |
