PURPOSE:To recognize a sector number by visual observation by deriving a 2nd sector number and a segment number which are positioned in the same phase as an end of a gap in a control track in the revolving direction of an optical disk. CONSTITUTION:At the time of accessing a user's track area, an ID data is latched with a specific value of a loop counter, and a sector number in the ID data and a segment number of dividing the sector are outputted from a computer. That is, if the sector number of a user's track 2 is such a value as not divided by three, a phase difference between three gaps 5 and a user's track preformat signal 3 is generated, so that the sector number of dividing the user's track 2 into plural pieces can be discriminated. By this method, from a phase relationship with the control track 4, the sector number in an area of the user's track 2 can be recognized by visual observation. |
