ASYMMETRICAL ELECTROACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost by simplifying the configuration of a stereo speaker system. CONSTITUTION: Left and right speaker systems are asymmetrical acoustically, the one system includes a low frequency woofer 12 and a medium high sound frequency driver 11. The other system has no low sound frequency woofer but includes only a medium high sound frequency driver 15. A right channel input signal extracting only a low frequency component by a low pass filter 24 is added to a left channel input signal and the sum signal is fed to the low sound frequency woofer 12 and the medium high sound frequency driver 11. The speakers are used in common at low sound frequencies without giving effect on a stereophonic sense.
