<p>PURPOSE:To diminish the coefft. of friction between a tape and a tape guide by vibrating directly the tape guide with an ultrasonic oscillator fitted to be parallel to the lengthwise direction of the tape guide. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic oscillator 15 for generating a standing-wave vibration against the tape guide 11 is fitted approximately parallel to the lengthwise direction of the tape guide. Then, the tape guide 11 is directly vibrated by the fitted ultrasonic oscillator 15. Consequently, the vibration is efficiently generated on the tape guide 11 due to the standing wave, and the tape guide 11 is easily resonated in the radial direction of the tape guide 11 together with a tape. By this method, the coefft. of friction against the tape guide 11 can possibly be diminished, thus stabilizing the tape in its traveling.</p> |
