PURPOSE:To obtain a device which retrieves a dictionary and process quickly by temporarily storing word information of retrieving object in a word information buffer at the time of retrieving the dictionary. CONSTITUTION:A character processing part 2 executes its processing by allowing CPU 1 to execute a program stored in a storage part 5. At first, a buffer control table is referred to concerning a reading which is inputted from an input part 4 and stored in a reading buffer so as to judge whether word information on the reading is registered or not. When it has not been registered, the dictionary is retrieved based on the reading stored in the reading buffer, and when a retrieved word is found, the piece of word information is registered in the word information buffer of the storage part 5. By repeating this operation, all the pieces of pertient word information are stored in the word information buffer. Using information of the buffer, control table is also updated. Thereby, it is unnecessitated to retrieve the dictionary again concerning word information stored in the buffer so that a processing time is reduced. |
