In a refrigerator including a freezer compartment 14 arranged in the body 11 above the normal compartment and separated from the latter by an intermediate thermally insulating bottom the opening of which can be shut off in a leaktight way by a flap which can be folded down about a horizontal axis, the flap being mounted by means of hinge parts which can be fastened to one another in a dismantleable manner, arranged, on the one hand, close to its lower edge and, on the other hand, on the intermediate bottom, and blocked in the closed position by an elastic fastener, use is made, as a fastener, of a lock 18 including a rolling body urged by a spring, in the form of a ball 19 which, when the flap 15 is closed, rolls over a cam 20 located on the upper edge of the flap 15, between the stud of which it engages and therefore holds the flap 15 closed under prestress. <IMAGE>
