PURPOSE: To mold a drip irrigation conduit by moving emitter units in such a way that the units are kept in contact with the conduit until the emitter units are thermally welded to the conduit, then cooling the emitter units and opening holes in the conduit so that drip outlets for the emitter units are formed. CONSTITUTION: Emitters 6 are continuously supplied to the upstream end part 4a of a conveyance device 4. When a conduit 13 has reached a second linear velocity in a half-molten state in the inlet region of a calibrator unit 8, the emitters 6 are moved by a pusher 17 along the conveyance device 4 so that the emitters 6 are accelerated until the upper surface of each of the emitters 6 comes into contact with the inner surface part of the conduit 13. Each of the emitters 61 is thermally welded to the inner surface of the conduit 13 and is moved along the conveyance device 4 and is securely welded to the conduit 13 by heat by the timing when the emitters 6 have reached the terminal part of the conveyance device 4. After the conduit 13 is out of a final cooling unit 9, the positions of the emitter units 6 inside the conduit 13 are detected and the conduit 13 and holes opened at positions corresponding to the drip outlets of the emitter units 6 while the conduit 13 passes through a perforating part 11. The conduit 13 is taken up by a take-up mechanism 14. |
