PURPOSE: To stimulate heart and simultaneously study characteristics of heart by fixing multiple electrodes on an outer surface of a body adjacent to a distal end maintaining a distance between a transmitter and a receiver, arranging a terminal of a probe within a esophagus of a subject to make an image of heart with use of the transmitter and the receiver, and supplying an electric signal with use of a selected electrode. CONSTITUTION: A paper electrode part 12 is fixed on a parameter of a probe 10 by using a layer of an adhesive material. An ultrasonic transmitter and a receiver 52 are arranged at a distal end of the probe 10. A multielectrode element 12 is arranged within the probe at an adjacent position maintaining a distance between the transmitter and the receiver 52. The probe 10 is inserted into a gulb E of a subject S by a conventional method. Then, the electric constitution part 12 is connected via connectors 40, 42 to a switch selector 45. By selecting a suitable electrode and bonding a front multifier for the esophagus or a pacing device to a cable, a signal from heart is detected. |
