PLANE HEATER AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To improve the electric characteristics and the thermal shock resistance of an insulator by adding boron nitride and synthetic gold mica to high insulation glass individually or simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A plane heater is constructed so as that in an insulator 1 consisting of sintered mixed powders of high insulation glass (borosilicate glass) and boron nitride or synthetic gold mica a heater 2 of Ni-Cr foil formed to desired shape is buried. Here, boron nitride or synthetic gold mica is scale- shaped, has a high thermal conductivity, is able to improve the thermal conductivity of the insulator, and has the buffer action for the thermal shock and prevents the generation of cracks in the insulator.
