Known large jigging conveyors are not suitable as such for conveying bulk materials or small particles into or out of a liquid bath, because the liquid (2), being incompressible, transmits the vibrations to other structural components, e.g., the liquid reservoir (1). To remedy this, a compressible space (9) provided below the vibrating part (2) can be adapted to the liquid bath so as to attenuate the vibrations. The space (9) is preferably filled with gas and its damping properties can be varied by introducing extra gas through a line (16) which can be closed off by an element (17) or by discharging some of the filling through a line (18) which can likewise be closed off by an element (19).
