PURPOSE:To obtain a proper brake distance by suppressing the oscillation- resistive action on stop of a vehicle by lowering the brake pressure to a final pressure when the car speed becomes less than a standard value and an automatic transmission is in neutral state and by lowering the pressure to the final pressure by the selection to a neutral state in the traveling state. CONSTITUTION:When the car speed becomes less than a standard value and an automatic transmission A is in a neutral state, a compulsory neutral position selection type stop control means C reduces the pressure of a brake cylinder to a final pressure, keeping a neutral state, and reduces the oscillation-resistive action in stop of vehicle. While, in the traveling state, the pressure is lowered to the final pressure by the selection to neutral state. Therefore, the transmission of the revolution torque of a driving source to driving wheels during the oscillation-resistive action preventing control is prevented, and the vehicle can be stopped with the less oscillation-resistive action in a proper brake distance by decompressing the pressure in the brake cylinder in the same state, independently of the shift state of the automatic transmission A. |
